What this site collects
The public pages collect nothing that identifies you: no cookie set by them, and no analytics or advertising script. The pages are rendered server-side and carry no third-party tags.
Accounts and payments
If you create an account in the console, we hold your name, email address and a hash of your password, the API keys you create (stored as a hash; only a short prefix is kept readable), and a daily count of the requests your account makes. A session cookie keeps you signed in to the console.
Payments are processed by Polar, our merchant of record, under its own privacy policy. We never see your card. Polar sends us what we need to run your plan: your name and email, the plan, amounts, tax, and invoice numbers.
What the API logs
Requests made with your key are counted per account per day, to enforce your plan's quota, and per minute, which holds the count in memory for the length of that window. Standard web-server access logs record the IP address, the path requested and the time; they are retained for operational and abuse-prevention purposes and are not used to build a profile or shared with anyone.
The playground
Requests you make in the playground go from your browser to this site, which makes the API call on your behalf and keeps the answer for a couple of minutes so that repeated requests are not repeated upstream. This site's access log records the request — including the query you ran — and your IP address. A one-way hash of that address is also kept for about a day, to limit how many requests one visitor can make. Nothing else about you is stored.
Fonts
The typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. That request is subject to Google's own privacy policy.
If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply and so we have a record of the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list.
